New visions for travelling with TGV Lyria

After carrying out a broad-based study in advance, TGV Lyria has now identified a number of points that are to be improved in the future based on the results. These improvements concern comfort, services at the station and, of course, the travelling experience on board.
New travel classes
One of the most significant innovations at TGV Lyria is the renaming of the three travel classes: Standard, Première and Première Signature.
- The Standard class offers ergonomic seats and a high level of comfort at an affordable price.
- The Première class promises additional comfort with spacious seats and a quiet atmosphere for a relaxing journey.
- The highest class, Première Signature, stands for excellent service with personalised attention, an exclusive carriage with particularly comfortable seats and a high-quality gastronomic offering served directly at your seat.
Culinary
TGV Lyria remains loyal to Gate Gourmet Helvetia as a catering partner and takes the culinary experience to a new level with Atelier Lyria Gourmet. In collaboration with star chefs Michel Roth and Danny Khezzar, a concept has been created that celebrates Franco-Swiss culinary culture.
- ‘Le Bistrot’ (at the bar): Regional and seasonal specialities.
- ‘La Table’ (Première Signature): Exclusive gourmet menus served directly on the square.
- Since January 2025, dishes from ‘Le Bistrot’ can be conveniently pre-ordered online and either picked up via Click & Collect or - for travellers in Première and Première Signature classes - delivered directly to the seat.
Entertainment on board
The entertainment offer on board has been expanded with a modernised WIFI portal, which now includes over 150 contents - including films, series, podcasts and digital newspapers from France and Switzerland. Première Signature guests benefit from exclusive access to a special press catalogue within the WIFI portal. As all content is pre-installed, no internet connection is required to access it.
TGV Lyria is also planning to further optimise the digital experience. The chatbot ‘Franz’ will be available to answer travellers' questions in real time. USB-C ports will be integrated for added convenience and with ‘Lyria Augmenté’, interactive augmented reality experiences will make travelling even more exciting.
A new railway station experience
TGV Lyria is focusing on optimised services at stations to offer travellers more comfort even before departure. Among other things, there will be express boarding for Première Signature with priority access to the trains for a faster and stress-free journey. A special hall and platforms are planned to improve orientation. This should make it easier to navigate the station.
Modern coworking spaces are to be provided for business customers so that they can benefit from comfortable working areas. This is planned in or near the stations - at attractive special rates.
