The best a panoramic view of the region is from the viewing platform on Harder Kulm, Interlaken's local mountain. In just 15 minutes, the cable car whisks you up to the 1,322-metre summit, where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the two lakes and the iconic peaks of Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau.
Interlaken is an ideal starting point for a trip to the Jungfraujoch. Even the journey to the world-famous Jungfraujoch "Top of Europe" at 3,454 m is a highlight. Once at the top, a multifaceted world of adventure awaits you with a tour of the Ice Palace, a multimedia adventure tour and a 360° cinema experience. From the Sphinx Terrace, you can enjoy a spectacular view of imposing mountain peaks and the Aletsch Glacier.

Interlaken Ost Bahnhof serves as the starting point for your trip to the Jungfraujoch. The journey to the world-renowned "Top of Europe" at an elevation of 3,454 metres is an adventure in itself. Upon reaching the summit, you’ll find a diverse range of experiences awaiting you including a tour of the Ice Palace, an immersive multimedia adventure and a 360° cinema experience. Another highlight is "Spy World," an interactive exhibition dedicated to the James Bond film On Her Majesty's Secret Service, two-thirds of which was filmed in the region.

Interlaken hosts an number of events throughout the year. Highlights include the Greenfield Festival featuring top-class bands in mid-June, and the International Trucker & Country Festival showcasing fantastic music at the end of the same month. Additionally, the Tell Open-Air Theatre offers performances on a natural stage in the Rugenwald forest from mid-June to early September.
