The adventure begins with a leisurely cruise from Lucerne to Flüelen, followed by a first-class panoramic train ride through the historic Gotthard route into Ticino.
In Lucerne, you embark on a steam or motorboat for a cruise across Lake Lucerne, surrounded by mountainous landscapes. As you can enjoy a gourmet meal on board as you navigate by iconic sites of Swiss history, such as the Grütli Meadow, Schiller's Stone and the Chapel of William Tell. Upon reaching Flüelen, the panoramic train awaits taking you along the historic Gotthard line. You'll catch a glimpse of the famous Wassen Church, known for its spiral tunnels, before continuing south through the Gotthard Tunnel which opened in 1882 between Göschenen and Airolo.
