A car-free holiday in Quiberon is possible. From Auray station, less than 3 hours from Paris by TGV, take the well-named 'tire-bouchon': this tourist train takes you to Quiberon by the seaside in summer, with the bus taking over the rest of the year. Then it's on to the beautiful walks, cycle rides or boat trips: along the footpaths and cycle paths, or out to sea from the little ports, your holidays will always have the ocean as a horizon.

Opposite Quiberon, only 45 minutes away by boat all year round, is Belle-Île-en-Mer, the largest of the Breton islands: 17 km long, 9 km wide. As soon as you arrive, you'll be seduced by the pretty coastline dotted with typical houses and the imposing Vauban citadel. By bike, explore the exceptional natural surroundings, pretty beaches, the 'Aiguilles de Port-Coton' immortalised by Claude Monet and the Grand Phare, one of the most powerful lighthouses in Europe.
