Day 1: Arrival in Lugano

Train journey to Lugano and time at leisure. Enjoy the Mediterranean atmosphere in Ticino. We recommend a walk along the lakeside promenade or an excursion to Monte Bre or San Salvatore. Overnight stay in Lugano.

2nd day: Bernina Express Lugano - St. Moritz (6h

Breakfast at the hotel. The Bernina Express bus takes you to Tirano (Italy). Then board the Bernina Express to St. Moritz. Enjoy an alpine serpentine ride that takes you from the waving palms of Ticino and Italy to the towering glaciers. The Bernina Express is the highest railroad line across the Alps. Overnight stay in St. Moritz.

Day 3: Glacier Express St. Moritz - Zermatt (8h)

Breakfast at the hotel. Today you board the Glacier Express for one of the most impressive train journeys in the world. On an 8-hour journey, the world's slowest express train takes you over 291 bridges, through 91 tunnels and over the Oberalp Pass at 2,033 m. Overnight stay in Zermatt.

Day 4: Zermatt and journey home

Breakfast at the hotel. Free time in Zermatt. We recommend an excursion to the Gornergrat, the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise or a walk in the untouched, beautiful nature of Zermatt. You have the best view of the Matterhorn from the Church Bridge in Zermatt or from Sunegga, which is easily accessible with the Zermatt mountain railroads. Individual journey home.
