Be sure to visit the camellia park with over 900 different types of camellia; a little paradise right by the lake. The song of the birds and the sound of the waves is an oasis for the senses, and the Lido di Locarno offers fun and relaxation for young and old in all weathers. 1ˢᵗ day: Arrival in Domodossola

Rail journey via Bern/Spiez with the BLS RegioExpress Lötschberger on the historic mountain line to Brig. This 60 km line is considered one of the most important and daring structures in the history of the Swiss railroads. It impresses with its imposing viaduct over the Kander, its inversion loops around Felsenburg Castle and the unconventional Bietschtal bridge near Raron. Continuation through the Simplon tunnel to Domodossola (Italy) and free time. We recommend an easy hike on Monte Calvario, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Overnight in Domodossola.

2nd day: Domodossola – Locarno (2h)

Breakfast at the hotel. Travel on the Centovalli Railway through the «Valley of a Hundred Valleys» and the Vigezzo Valley to Locarno. The area is a unique natural and cultural paradise. Those looking for unspoiled nature, characteristic places and good gastronomy will not be disappointed. You can choose between a mountain hike, a visit to a typical village or a lunch with regional products. In Locarno you have free time at your disposal. A walk along the palm-lined lakeside promenade and a visit to the Piazza Grande are not to be missed. Overnight in Locarno.

3rd day: Locarno and return journey

Breakfast at the hotel. Time for further activities. We recommend taking the cog railroad from Locarno to Orselina, then the cable car to Cardada and the chairlift to Cimetta. An indescribable view of Lake Maggiore and the surrounding valleys awaits you. Individual return journey.
