The Glacier Express takes you over 291 bridges and through 91 tunnels, along natural landscapes, deep gorges and up to the Oberalp Pass. A unique experience all day long.
The spectacular traverse of the Alps with the Bernina Express takes you over 196 bridges, through 55 tunnels, along romantic valleys and through impressive nature - another railway experience of the railway classics.
In Zermatt you have a fantastic view of the Matterhorn and clean air, because there are only electric cars. In glamorous St. Moritz, some luxury awaits you and in Lugano you can enjoy the dolce vita beside the lake and under the palm trees.

From the viewing platform, you have an overwhelming 360° panoramic view of the Matterhorn, Mont Blanc and 28 other snow-capped peaks rising above 4'000 m.

The Glacier Express, known as the slowest express train in the world, connects Zermatt and St. Moritz in around 8 hours on a 291 km route through the Swiss Alps. It travels over the Oberalp Pass, through the spectacular Rhine Gorge and over the impressive Landwasser Viaduct. The panoramic coaches offer magnificent views of the breathtaking landscape. Despite an average speed of just 36 km/h, the slow pace makes the journey ideal for enjoying the Swiss mountains in a relaxed manner.

Breakfast at the hotel. From Zermatt, the Gornergrat Bahn, Europe’s highest open-air cogwheel railway, takes you up to the Gornergrat. The train crosses impressive bridges, galleries and tunnels. On the Gornergrat viewing platform you are surrounded by 29 peaks rising to above 4'000 m. Overnight in Zermatt.

Breakfast at the hotel. Today you travel with the Bernina Express from St. Moritz over the Bernina Pass and the circular viaduct at Brusio to Tirano (Italy), the south end of the Bernina Line. After lunch or a stroll through the romantic old town, you travel with the Bernina Express bus through the idyllic Valtellina valley and along Lake Como to Lugano. Overnight in Lugano.
