Terms and conditions

Here you will find our general terms and conditions of competition and participation.

Participate in competitions, contests and raffles and with a little luck you could win some great prizes!

  • Entry to the competition, which is run by railtour suisse sa (hereinafter: railtour), is free and no purchase is necessary.

  • Entrants must be 18 or over with residency in switzerland in order to participate. The competition is not open to employees (or their immediate families) of railtour as well as DERTOUR Suisse and associated agencies.

  • By taking part, entrants confirm that the personal data they provide is accurate and complete. They acknowledge that any change or inaccuracy of their personal data may result in their disqualification from the competition and the withdrawal of any and all prizes awarded.

  • On suspicion of attempts to distort the chances of winning by manipulation or other improper or unfair means or in the case of reasonable doubt, railtour reserves the right to exclude entrants from the competition, withhold or reclaim prizes previously awarded and declare replacement winners.

  • Failure to comply with the competition terms and conditions may result in disqualification from the competition as a whole and forfeiture of any and all prizes.

  • railtour reserves the right to amend, extend, suspend or cancel these terms and conditions, the competition or its result without prior notice in cases of force majeure.

  • Entrants expressly agree to these competition terms and conditions without any reservations.

  • Winners will be informed by email to the address provided on registration; instructions on claiming and receiving prizes will also be sent to this email address.

  • No correspondence will be entered into. The judges’ decision is final.

     

  • railtour is authorised to publish the names and photos of the winners in all advertising media, on the internet and in the press.

  • railtour cannot be held liable for the loss of data on transmission or for any other technical malfunctions.

  • All participants in the competition also expressly and unconditionally agree to our data protection provisions. 

  • The details of the winners and all participants will only be passed on to named third party partners and for the purpose described in the competition. It will not be passed on to other, unnamed third parties.

Disclosure of data to third parties as part of the railtour Advent calendar
  • As part of the implementation of the Advent calendar, it is necessary for railtour to pass on personal data of participants to the cooperation partner Tourismus Marketing GmbH Baden-Württemberg. This only includes the contact details of the winners (name and e-mail address) in order to ensure notification and delivery of the prizes.
  • The data will be passed on exclusively for this purpose. The third-party partner undertakes to treat the data in accordance with the applicable data protection regulations and to use it exclusively in connection with this competition.
  • By participating in the Advent calendar contest, participants agree to the transfer and processing of their data as described.

 

  • All participants who successfully complete the competition and provide their details will automatically be entered in the prize draw.

  • Prizes are not payable in cash.

  • Prizes are subject to availability and railtour reserves the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value. Prizes will only be delivered to addresses in Switzerland.

  • The judges’ decision is final.

  • The place of jurisdiction is Bern. These terms and conditions are governed solely by Swiss law.

Competitions on Facebook

railtour suisse sa regularly organizes competitions on its Facebook page and is responsible for their implementation.

Facebook itself has nothing to do with the competitions and is not available as a contact partner.

Unless otherwise stated, the competition begins with the publication of the post and ends at 10 p.m. on the date specified.
The prizes to be won and the rules of the respective competition (random selection, best comment, etc.) are stated in the respective posting.


Employees of railtour, Frantour and DERTOUR Switzerland are excluded from participation.
Prizes that are not claimed by the winners within two months of the draw will be forfeited without replacement.

The winners will be contacted via Facebook and asked to provide their contact details in a private message on Facebook or by email. There will be no cash payout and legal recourse is excluded. With the exception of the winners, no correspondence will be entered into regarding the prize draw.
