From the shores of Lake Ossiach, the largest of the region's nine bathing lakes, the Kanzelbahn cable car leads up to the Gerlitzen, a family adventure mountain with a high ropes course, piste speeders and the best thermals for paragliders. As early as May, the lake beckons for a refreshing swim - or to cycle around it, past the ruins of Landskron Castle and the former Benedictine monastery of Ossiach.
