The Golden Maple First Class rail adventure tour introduces you to the comfort of Canada's two most famous trains: on the Canadian train, renowned for its exquisite service, you travel across Canada - from Toronto and the lakes of Ontario to the Rocky Mountains. Day 1 - Flight across the Atlantic
We are happy to organize the flight from Switzerland to Toronto and, if you wish, the transfer to the centrally located comfort hotel where you will stay for three nights.

Day 2 - Toronto
During a city tour, you will get to know the metropolis on Lake Ontario. Numerous historic buildings form a charming contrast to the skyscrapers that dominate the cityscape. Enjoy lunch in a restaurant with a view of Lake Ontario. Afterwards, you will visit the 535 m high CN Tower with its viewing terrace at 447 m above sea level. For the afternoon, we have included a boat trip on Lake Ontario, during which you will get to know Toronto from a different perspective. Round off this eventful day in Canada's largest city in the immediate vicinity of your comfortable hotel, the trendy Queen Street West.

Day 3 - Niagara Falls
A day trip today takes you to one of the most impressive natural wonders in the world: with a thunderous roar, the Niagara River plunges over the almost 1'000 m wide and 55 m deep rock step, in front of which you can enjoy the spectacular view of the natural phenomenon at close quarters in a boat. This is followed by a walk through the Victorian town of Niagara-on-the-Lake and a cable car ride over the whirlpools of the Niagara River.

Day 4 - On the Canadian through lakes and forests
You begin your transcontinental journey on the Canadian at Toronto's Union Station. Experience the lakes and forests of Ontario on today's journey across the Canadian Shield. Sit back, relax and indulge yourself in the dining car! Elevated viewing seats in the glass-domed panoramic car allow you to enjoy a magnificent panoramic view.

Day 5 - From Ontario to Manitoba
As you move from the province of Ontario to Manitoba, the landscape changes during the course of the day. Lakes and forests are succeeded by prairies.

Day 6 - Prairie - Granary and pastureland
Enjoy the excellent service on board as you cross the vastness of the prairie! Grain cultivation and cattle herds make the region one of the most important agricultural regions in the world.

Day 7 - Jasper National Park
In the morning, your train reaches the majestic mountain range of the Rocky Mountains. Discover Jasper National Park by coach and take an excursion to Maligne Canyon and Maligne Lake. If you wish, you can take part in a boat trip to Spirit Island, which has become an ambassador for Canada as a postcard and calendar motif (excursion package). In the late afternoon, you will check into your room in a lodge.

Day 8 - Icefields Parkway
Breathtaking flora and fauna await you during the 4-hour bus ride along the Icefields Parkway. Experience the glaciers of the Columbia Icefields from the Glacier Skywalk viewpoint. The particularly brave dare to climb the glass viewing platform, from where the wildlife of the Rockies is literally at your feet. In Banff, the famous capital of the national park of the same name, you move into your room in the comfort hotel for the next three nights.

Day 9 - Banff National Park
In the morning, you can take part in a helicopter flight over the mountains of the Spray Valley (excursion package). Your exciting tour of Banff National Park begins in the early afternoon, where you will visit the panoramic Sulphur Mountain and Bow Falls, among other things. In the evening you will enjoy Canadian dishes in the restaurant in Banff.

Day 10 - Moraine Lake, Lake Louise and Johnston Canyon
Start the day with an excursion to Moraine Lake. Located in the Valley of Ten Peaks, this milky blue glacial lake is characterized by its quiet, sheltered location amidst rocky peaks. Another highlight of the day is a visit to Lake Louise, a mountain lake in a fantastic location at the foot of the Victoria Glacier. Continue to Yoho National Park. The turquoise Emerald Lake awaits you here. Due to its spectacular location and the wonderful coloration of the water, it is one of Canada's most beautiful attractions.

Day 11 - Through the Rocky Mountains by train
Today you cross the Rocky Mountains on the famous Rocky Mountaineer. While you are spoiled with meals at your seat, you are presented with spectacular views of the mountain passes to be crossed and the lake landscape of Shushwap Lake. In the late afternoon, you will arrive at your mid-range hotel in Kamloops.

Day 12 - Along the Fraser River
Along the Thompson and Fraser rivers, you travel on the Rocky Mountaineer through impressive gorges. In the late afternoon, your train arrives in Vancouver, where you will stay in your centrally located comfort hotel for three nights.

Day 13 - Vancouver: Tradition and modernity
You reach Vancouver Island by bus and ferry (excursion package). First you visit the extensive Butchart Gardens park, whose year-round floral splendor makes the heart of every garden lover beat faster. Afterwards, continue to Victoria, where the red double-decker buses are not the only reminder of the British Empire. In keeping with English tradition, relax with tea and cookies at the traditional Fairmont Empress Hotel.

Day 14 - Vancouver
Day at leisure or book an excursion to the surrounding area. You will reach Vancouver Island by bus and ferry (excursion package). First you visit the extensive Butchart Gardens park, whose year-round floral splendor makes the heart of every garden lover beat faster. Then continue to Victoria, where the red double-decker buses are not the only reminder of the British Empire. In keeping with English tradition, relax with tea and cookies in the traditional Fairmont Empress hotel. Back in Vancouver, enjoy your farewell dinner in the Harbour Center's 167 m high panoramic restaurant.
