Day 2 – Nostalgia on Rails
Your time-travel journey begins aboard the Glacier Pullman Express: the wood-paneled carriages, the meticulous details, and the elegant staff exude the charm of a bygone era. The first leg of the journey takes you to Thusis, where you’ll visit the Church of St. Martin. Back on board, a fine lunch awaits you at a white-linen-covered table. The trip continues to Disentis for a visit to the famous monastery. The final stretch leads you over the Oberalp Pass to Andermatt, where you’ll spend the night.
Day 3 – Grand Scenery, Delicate Moments
After a hearty breakfast, the journey continues to Realp. Here, you'll change trains and ride the Furka Steam Railway along the historic mountain route, past cascading water and through the highest station on the line – Furka (2,163 m above sea level) – until you reach Oberwald. The Glacier Pullman Express then takes you onward to Fiesch. At the Eggishorn (2,878 m above sea level), enjoy a traditional Swiss cheese dish for lunch. You’ll continue by nostalgic train to Zermatt, where you’ll spend the night.
Day 4 – Zermatt and Farewell
The final day begins with a majestic view: the Matterhorn, striking and graceful, towers over Zermatt and captures every heart. Enjoy the day as you wish – perhaps a leisurely walk through the car-free village, a coffee with a mountain view, or a trip up to the Gornergrat for an unmatched view of the Matterhorn.
