The Britannic Explorer is a new luxury sleeper train from Belmond, offering exclusive journeys through England and Wales from July 2025. The three-day routes depart from London Victoria station and travel through picturesque regions such as Cornwall, the Lake District and Wales.

The train

The train has 18 luxurious suites, including three grand suites, eleven double suites and four twin suites. Two elegant restaurant carriages, Malva and Samphire, as well as a bar carriage and a spa area ensure maximum comfort on board.

The cuisine on board

The Britannic Explorer offers a first-class fine dining experience - with a touch of British elegance!

The dishes are prepared using high-quality British produce, much of it from Michelin-starred chef Simons' own farm. An exquisite wine list and creative cocktails accompany the dishes. The menus are inspired by the British countryside and change according to the season.

The routes

All 4-day trips with the Britannic Explorer start and end in London Victoria. The routes lead through picturesque landscapes such as the Cotswolds, the Lake District and Cornwall. Historic country houses and first-class wineries are on the programme.

The Welsh version takes you to the rugged beauty of Snowdonia and along the spectacular Pembrokeshire coast, with stops in medieval towns and remote castles.
