TGV Lyria, the joint subsidiary of SNCF and SBB, connects Switzerland with France every day and offers up to 17 return journeys per day. Travel directly from cities such as Geneva, Zurich, Basel or Lausanne to Paris, Dijon, Marseille or Aix-en-Provence in just 3 to 4 hours. During the summer months, there is also a direct TGV from Geneva to Marseille.

The high-speed trains are an ideal alternative to flying: environmentally friendly, comfortable and arriving centrally at the station - perfect for your next city break.

4 direct connections between Switzerland and France

  1. Geneva <> Paris: Stopovers in Bellegarde, Nurieux, Bourg-en-Bresse and Paris Gare de Lyon. Up to 8 return journeys per day.
  2. Lausanne <> Paris: Stopovers in Vallorbe, Frasne, Mouchard, Dole, Dijon and Paris Gare de Lyon. Up to 6 return journeys per day.
  3. Basel - Zurich <> Paris: Stopovers in Mulhouse, Belfort-Montbéliard TGV, Dijon and Paris Gare de Lyon. Up to 6 return journeys per day.
  4. Lausanne <> Marseille: Stopovers in Geneva, Bellegarde, Lyon Part-Dieu, Avignon TGV, Aix-en-Provence TGV and Marseille. Der TGV Lyria verkehrt zwischen Lausanne und dem Mittelmeer vom 16. April bis zum 2. November 2026: von Donnerstag bis Montag in den Monaten April, Mai, Juni, September und Oktober. Im Juli und August 2026 fährt er täglich – mit Ausnahme einer Unterbrechung aufgrund von Bauarbeiten vom 27. Juli bis zum 16. August 2026.

Première Signature Class

Première Class

  • Snacks and drinks from the bar trolley ‘Le Bistrot’ (for a fee)
  • Single, duo or 4-seater compartments with seat reservation included
  • Luggage included
  • Individual socket
  • Click & Collect (online ordering of food in the bar trolley), service to the seat
  • Free Wi-Fi portal extended entertainment portal
  • Access to the SNCF Grand Voyageur Lounge in Paris

Standard Class

Family

TGV Lyria offers dedicated services for families traveling between France and Switzerland. These include discounted fares (children aged 4–15), “Carré Famille” or “Club 4” seating areas (coaches 6/16, 7/17), a nursery area, and onboard entertainment.

In the Family Area in coach 8, you will find easy, step-free access, storage spaces designed for families, a playful and colorful design that delights both children and adults, as well as games integrated into the tables. Regarding catering, TGV Lyria offers a children’s menu with tasty and well-balanced options specially designed for young travelers.

Culinary delights on board

The gastronomic offer at TGV Lyria was developed in collaboration with Michel Roth and Danny Khezzar. Regional and seasonal specialities await you in the bar trolley ‘Le Bistrot’. In the Business 1ère (Première Signature) you can enjoy exclusive gourmet menus served directly at your seat.

The culinary offering on the TGV Lyria reflects the French-Swiss partnership and combines the best of both countries. Fresh, seasonal and local products take centre stage - for an enjoyable and sustainable travel experience that meets the highest standards.

A culinary experience - created by two great star chefs

Michelin-starred chefs Danny Michel Roth and Danny Khezzar work together to design the varied menus for the bar car and the Première Signature class in the TGV Lyria.

The menu at ‘Le Bistrot’ offers delicious and original recipes, while the menu at ‘La Table’ stands for French excellence and Swiss prestige.

Thanks to the Click & Collect option, you can view the ‘Le Bistrot’ menu from the comfort of your seat, select your favourite dishes and pre-order them online with just a few clicks. These can then either be picked up via Click & Collect or - for travellers in Première and Première Signature classes - delivered directly to your seat.

Entertainment-Portal & Wifi

Wifi is available free of charge for all travellers.

The modernised Wifi portal offers over 150 contents, including films, series, podcasts and digital newspapers from France and Switzerland. Première Signature guests benefit from exclusive access to a special press catalogue within the Wifi portal.
