Great European Express

The Great European Express offers you the unique opportunity to travel with a maximum of 90 guests in a luxurious hotel on wheels. The train's carriages are designed in a classic style and equipped with modern facilities. Delicious specialties are served in the two air-conditioned restaurant cars, and outside of mealtimes, the bar car invites you to socialize with your fellow passengers. The Great European Express thus combines the experience of a stylish and comfortable journey with a visit to the most beautiful cities in Europe.

The air-conditioned sleeping cars of the former Hungarian government train delight with their plush, nostalgic ambience. The approximately 3.5 m² classic sleeping car compartments are equipped with two beds, one above the other, measuring approx. 66 x 190 cm. Each compartment has a washbasin, reading lamp, luggage rack and a small table. Shower and WC are available at the end of the carriage as communal facilities for the maximum of 18 guests per carriage.

The 7.74 m² Comfort category compartments offer you a private bathroom with toilet, shower and washbasin. Each compartment has two comfortable lower beds measuring 185 x 80 cm, which are made up daily by the staff. Two comfortable armchairs provide seating for the day and a free-standing chair provides additional flexibility. The train has a total of 4 carriages, each with 5 compartments in the comfort category. All compartments are equipped with individually adjustable air conditioning, power sockets, a small safe, a hairdryer and toiletries. Guests traveling in a comfort coach stay in deluxe hotels in Istanbul, Budapest and Paris.

In the Superior category, you will find compartments which, at 8.6 m², offer you even more space than the Comfort category compartments. Every evening, your compartment is transformed into a bedroom with a king-size bed (190 x 152 cm). The beds are made up daily by the staff. The compartments in the Superior category have a small seating area in addition to the equipment in the Comfort category. Each compartment has its own bathroom with toilet, washbasin and separate shower cubicle. All compartments are equipped with individually adjustable air conditioning, power sockets, a small safe, a hairdryer and toiletries. A carriage of this category with the highest possible comfort accommodates just 4 compartments, so that a maximum of 8 guests per carriage can be accommodated.
