Royal Scotsman

The Belmond Royal Scotsman consists of 2 historic dining cars, 6 sleeping cars with a total of 16 double compartments, and a car with grand suites, a spa car and the "Observation Car" with bar and open veranda. On board the train there is a library with English books and the latest daily newspapers are always available. The luxury train offers space for 40 guests, who are looked after by 16 train attendants. The excursions take place in comfortable excursion coaches.

Double or twin cabins

All compartments have their own bathroom with shower/WC, hairdryer, toiletries and towels, closet, chest of drawers, individually adjustable heating and ventilation. There are only lower beds. Most double cabins consist of 2 beds at a 90-degree angle to each other. Cabin service is available around the clock via a call button.

Grand Suite

Spacious and elegantly appointed, the Grand Suites offer exceptional comfort and enhanced privacy. Featuring a generous living area, they also allow guests, upon request, to enjoy their meals in the privacy of their suite. Spa treatments are included, along with a range of thoughtful touches and exclusive benefits reserved for Grand Suite guests.

Observation Car & Lounge

The lounge car is the meeting point for the tour company, where excellent alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are served at all times of the day. Information events also take place here. In the evenings, local artists often perform and entertain you with uplifting music or gruesome stories. The car is also known as the "Observation Car", as there is an open veranda at the end where you can enjoy the scenery in the refreshing breeze.

Dining car

The «Raven» and «Swift» dining cars captivate guests with their timeless elegance, featuring rich mahogany panelling and refined décor. They are home to one of Great Britain’s finest dining experiences. The menus showcase seasonal produce and the flavours of Scotland, expertly crafted by talented chefs and complemented by a carefully curated selection of wines.

Spa-coach

If you fancy a beauty or wellness treatment during your journey, the Dior Spa Royal Scotsman is at your disposal. But beware: the treatments are very popular and it is worth booking an appointment on board well in advance.
