Hidden gems in Florence

One tip is the antiques market at Fortezza da Basso, held on the third weekend of every month. Browse antique furniture, works of art, jewellery and rare finds as you search for one-of-a-kind treasures. Just a few minutes’ walk from Firenze Santa Maria Novella station, the market around San Lorenzo is also worth exploring. From Tuesday to Saturday, you will find clothing, souvenirs and regional specialities here, offering a taste of Florence beyond its best-known sights.
