Railjet Travel Classes

The Railjet offers a range of travel classes tailored to your individual needs.

1st Class - First

  • Catering: Delicious meals from the restaurant are served directly at your seat.
  • Seat: Leather seats, adjustable, extra-wide tables, and plenty of legroom.
  • Wi-Fi: Onboard Railnet portal (including Wi-Fi, services, and infotainment).
  • Lounges: Access to 7 ÖBB lounges with free Wi-Fi, newspapers, and complimentary drinks/snacks.
  • Power: Power outlets at every seat.
  • Luggage: Generous storage space, with luggage racks in the middle of the carriage.

1st Class - Business

  • Catering: Delicious meals from the restaurant are served directly at your seat.
  • Seat: Maximum privacy with extra space and plenty of legroom. Adjustable seats with a leg rest for a relaxed position and a swivel reading light.
  • Wi-Fi: Onboard Railnet portal (including Wi-Fi, services, and infotainment).
  • Lounges: Access to 7 ÖBB lounges with free Wi-Fi, newspapers, and complimentary drinks/snacks.
  • Power: Power outlets at every seat.
  • Luggage: Generous storage space, with luggage racks in the middle of the carriage.

2nd Class - Economy

  • Catering: Onboard bistro
  • Seat: Comfort with modern seats and air conditioning; quiet and family zones available; seat reservation depending on fare (included in the railtour package).
  • Wi-Fi: Onboard Railnet portal (including Wi-Fi, services, and infotainment).
  • Power: One power outlet per pair of seats.
  • Luggage: Generous storage space, with luggage racks in the middle of the carriage.

Frequently asked questions

  • Yes. Small, non-dangerous animals may travel free of charge in a suitable carrier. For dogs that do not fit into a carrier, you will need a standard dog ticket. Dogs must be kept on a lead and wear a muzzle. Certified assistance dogs do not need to wear a muzzle. Dogs must remain on the floor under the supervision of their owner.
  • Yes. On the ÖBB Railjet, the bicycle zone is located in 2nd class. You will need a standard bicycle ticket and a space reservation for your bicycle. For folded bicycles measuring up to 90 × 60 × 40 cm, neither a ticket nor a reservation is required; they are considered hand luggage.
  • Yes. Eligible passengers with an Austrian Disability Travel Card receive a 50% discount. A companion or assistance dog may travel free of charge if this is noted on the Disability Travel Card. For wheelchair users, a wheelchair space and a seat for the companion are reserved. The exact discounts depend on the details stated on the card.
