1st day: Arrival in Chur
Arrival in Chur by train. Chur is Switzerland's oldest city, the Alpine town between north and south. The traffic-free old town with more than 500 shops is the largest shopping centre between Zurich and Milan. Or stroll through the cosy farmer's market on Saturday. Here you are guaranteed to find some goodies for your loved ones at home. Overnight in Chur.

2nd day: Glacier Express Chur – Zermatt (5h30)
Breakfast at the hotel. Today you board the Glacier Express which is one of the greatest train journeys in the world. You travel from Chur to Zermatt. A 5½-hour railway journey across bridges and through tunnels and across the Oberalp Pass at 2’033 m. Travel in comfort through the unspoilt natural beauty of a landscape rich in ancient fragrant mountain forests, peaceful Alpine meadows, rushing mountain streams and mountain valleys, soaked in tradition and centuries-old culture. Overnight in Zermatt.

3rd day: Zermatt and return journey
Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy Zermatt or take a trip to the Gornergrat. Europe's highest open-air rack railway leads from Zermatt to the Gornergrat. The train crosses impressive bridges, galleries and tunnels. From the summit you have a magnificent panoramic view of the Matterhorn, Mont Blanc and other snow-capped peaks rising above 4000 metres. If you want to go even higher, you should include the excursion Matterhorn Glacier Paradise in your programme. Individual return journey.This tour can also be booked in the opposite direction.
