Arrival in Lucerne by train. Your unique travel experience starts with a boat trip on Lake Lucerne to Vitznau. We suggest an excursion to the Rigi. From Vitznau you can take the first cogwheel railroad in Europe to the Rigi. The «Queen of the Mountains» offers 100 kilometers of hiking trails with a breathtaking panorama. Overnight in Vitznau.

2ⁿᵈ day: Vitznau – Locarno/Lugano
After breakfast at the hotel, boat trip to Flüelen. The Rütli lies on the western shore of Lake Uri. According to legend, the alliance of the three original cantons of Uri, Schwyz and Unterwalden, the famous Rütli Oath, was signed on the Rütli. Tell's Chapel immediately follows on the left side of the lake. This is where William Tell is said to have saved himself from the bailiff Gessler by jumping out of the boat. The Gotthard Panorama Express is already waiting in Flüelen for the onward journey on the old Gotthard route to Bellinzona and Lugano. The double hairpin bend at Wassen is famous because the view of the church of Wassen is possible three times. The journey to Airolo leads through the 15-kilometer Gotthard railroad tunnel. From Piottino to Biasca, a total of 650 vertical meters are overcome via two further helical tunnels. Travelers to Locarno change to the regional train in Bellinzona. Overnight in Lugano or Locarno.
