Switzerland's first electric cogwheel railway has been transporting guests from Zermatt up to 1,600 metres to 3,100 metres all year round and without changing trains since 1898. The route leads over impressive bridges, through galleries and tunnels, surrounded by idyllic forests and alpine meadows, past rocky gorges and mountain lakes. The majestic mountain giants, above all the Matterhorn, are omnipresent. The Gornergrat Bahn has been guaranteeing that the journey to the panoramic mountain is a top-class experience for 125 years.

Meet the Sheep
