In Paris, there’s always something happening—there are endless good reasons for a weekend getaway to the City of Light.
Every trip to Paris brings its share of surprises and new experiences. Since the pandemic, cycling has become widely popular on the streets of the capital. Ahead of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, many monuments have been renovated and now shine in their full glory, and Notre-Dame is more radiant than ever after five years of restoration work. Over recent years, Paris has transformed into a musical theatre capital, offering an enormous variety of shows. More generally, the constantly renewed calendar of performances, major exhibitions, and sporting events keeps our thirst for culture, knowledge, and entertainment alive. Parisian fashion sets the trends and is itself constantly evolving—just like the gastronomy. Restaurants with panoramic views are booming, and traditional “bouillons” are making a grand comeback.
One thing’s for sure: there’s always more to discover in the City of Light!

The Fondation Cartier by Jean Nouvel
On October 25, 2025, the Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain is moving to the Place du Palais-Royal, right across from the Louvre. Designed by star architect Jean Nouvel, the new building blends contemporary design with a historic setting — a real architectural gem in the heart of the city. It’s worth visiting not just for the space itself, but also for the top-notch programming. To mark the opening, and running until August 23, 2026, the exhibition “Exposition générale” looks back on 40 years of the Fondation Cartier’s collection.
Rediscovering Notre-Dame
Good news: it’s now easier to book a slot to visit Notre-Dame. Why not make the most of this spring to reconnect with this monument we thought we knew so well?
The cathedral is revealed in a new light, enhanced by years of meticulous work carried out by the finest craftsmen: stonemasons, carpenters, master glassmakers, gilders… Every detail tells a story of rebirth. The great organ, too, has been saved; it was dismantled and its 8,000 pipes cleaned one by one, before being reinstalled by passionate specialists.
Upon entering, one feels a mixture of emotion and admiration: the majesty of the building, the restored splendour of the chapels, the unique atmosphere of a place brought back to life. An unmissable visit, whether you are a believer, an art lover or simply a lover of Paris
A stroll through Paris: the Parc Rives de Seine
A vast 10-hectare green belt, the Parc Rives de Seine stretches for several kilometres along the river, offering one of the capital’s most beautiful pedestrian areas. Here, cars have given way to cyclists, walkers, families, sports enthusiasts and strollers, set against a backdrop of majestic bridges, landscaped gardens, barges converted into open-air cafés and floating terraces where you’ll be tempted to stop for a coffee or a drink.
For a simple and inspiring route, start at the Musée d’Orsay and follow the Seine towards the Eiffel Tower: the views come one after another, each different, each photogenic. A few steps further and you reach the banks of the Port de Solférino, then those of the Port du Gros-Caillou with their sun loungers and seasonal events.
