The most convenient way to travel to Sylt is by train via the fixed land link. Train passengers usually travel via Hamburg to Westerland, the island’s main station. The trains use the Hindenburgdamm, the only fixed link between the mainland and Sylt, and run directly to the island. Westerland station is centrally located, making it easy to continue your journey or walk to accommodation and town centres.
