Day 1: London- Keighley
In the afternoon, board the Britannic Explorer at London Victoria Station, ready to explore the picturesque north. Start your journey with a traditional Cumbrian afternoon tea while you enjoy the view of the passing countryside. Perhaps treat yourself to a soothing treatment in the spa suite afterwards. The route takes you through the heart of England, past the idyllic landscapes of Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire and South Yorkshire. As dusk falls, the elegant bar awaits you, where you can enjoy a selection of signature cocktails in a convivial atmosphere. Afterwards, take a seat in the sumptuous restaurant car to savour a menu created by top chef Simon Rogan. You can look forward to dishes that impress with seasonal, locally sourced ingredients and innovative flavours. After an entertaining evening programme on board, you can retire to your comfortable suite for a restful night's sleep. The train stops overnight at the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, a lovingly restored heritage line in the heart of Brontë country.

Day 2: Keighley - Workington - Penrith - Appleby
Start the day with a relaxed brunch. Your route takes you through the stunning landscapes of the Forest of Bowland and the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The train then glides along the south coast of Cumbria and further north, where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the Irish Sea. In the early afternoon you reach Workington, the gateway to the Lake District. Embark on a chauffeured visit to Lingholm Estate, a Victorian mansion where Beatrix Potter once summered. Exclusively open to Britannic Explorer guests, enjoy canoeing or paddleboarding on Derwentwater, meet friendly alpacas and play classic lawn games. Later, opt for a tour and tasting at The Lakes Distillery. In the evening, return to the train in Penrith and relax before dinner. Another exquisite dinner awaits you, followed by varied evening entertainment on board. The train spends the night on the picturesque route of the Settle & Carlisle Railway.

Day 3: Appleby - Oxfordshire
Awaken to an elegant morning as a leisurely brunch awaits you in the dining car, alongside a freshly crafted Bellini. Savour this gentle time, perhaps with a spirited game of cards among newfound friends as the train glides over the iconic Ribblehead Viaduct on the famed Settle & Carlisle line. Later, disembark for a unique culinary experience centred around Simon Rogan's regenerative farm in the Cartmel Valley. Here, you will enjoy an extended farm tour, followed by one-of-a-kind sustainable dining experience. Return to the train afterward for your final night aboard, with an overnight stop amid the Cotswolds’ patchwork landscapes, just beyond the lights of London.

Enjoy your breakfast on board while the train starts its return journey to London. On the journey through the idyllic landscapes of Oxfordshire, you can take in the last views of the picturesque surroundings. The train arrives at Victoria Station in the morning, so you can start the day refreshed and energised.
