Day 1: London - Haverfordwest
In the afternoon, board the Britannic Explorer at London Victoria Station, ready to set off on your journey to Wales. Get in the mood with a delicious Welsh afternoon tea as you admire the passing scenery through the window. The route takes you westwards, through Bristol, across the Severn Estuary into Wales and along the south coast through Cardiff and Swansea. The route continues through green Carmarthenshire, the ‘Garden of Wales’, to Pembrokeshire in the south-west. This region is characterised by its dramatic coastal landscape, historic castles and extensive sandy beaches. As evening falls, the bar invites you to socialise with other guests over a selection of signature cocktails. Afterwards, a gourmet menu created by top chef Simon Rogan awaits you in the elegant restaurant car. The renowned chef and Chef Patron of the three Michelin-starred L'Enclume is a pioneer of farm-to-fork cuisine in the UK. After an entertaining evening programme on board, retire to your suite for a restful night. The train spends the night in the charming county town of Haverfordwest.

Day 2: Haverfordwest – Barmouth
With the first light of the sun illuminating the stunning Pembrokeshire coastline, you begin a day of discovery in the magical Welsh countryside. After a relaxed breakfast, disembark the train at Llandrindod Wells, where you can choose between two excursions: embark on a guided hike through the tranquil valleys of the remote Welsh heartlands, or enjoy a visit to a spectacular Welsh lavender farm. Return to the train for lunch and continue your journey along the picturesque Heart of Wales Line. This takes you through the idyllic uplands of Carmarthenshire and Powys as the landscape becomes increasingly dramatic. Your destination is Snowdonia National Park, known locally as Eryri - a place of majestic mountains, spectacular valleys and thundering waterfalls. Day 3: Barmouth - Moreton-in-Marsh
Enjoy a peaceful morning aboard the train: a wellness ritual or a leisurely lie‑in, followed by a refined brunch. With a freshly prepared mimosa in hand, take in the passing scenery from the Observation Car. Arrival in Machynlleth, a charming town on the edge of Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park, renowned for its Museum of Modern Art. On arrival, choose between a creative experience with a theatre performance or an introductory clay pigeon shooting session. Back on board, lunch is served as the train continues through the verdant landscapes of Mid Wales and Montgomeryshire, passing Welshpool before crossing into Shropshire. In the evening, disembark for an exclusive gathering at a quintessential Cotswolds pub, The Fox at Oddington.
