1ˢᵗ day: London - Bishops Lydeard
In the afternoon, board the Britannic Explorer at London Victoria Station and begin your journey to Cornwall. Make yourself comfortable in your stylishly designed suite and be inspired by the vibrant details that reflect modern British style. Enjoy a delicious Cornish Afternoon Tea while admiring the passing scenery through the window. Those looking for even more relaxation can indulge in a treatment in the wellness suite. The route takes you through the green hills of the North Wessex Downs and on through the charming market towns of Frome and Taunton in Somerset.
At dusk, you'll reach the historic West Somerset Railway - a 20-mile line that runs picturesquely along the coast to Dunster. Visit the bar and enjoy signature cocktails in a convivial atmosphere before taking a seat in the elegant dining car. Here you will be spoilt by Michelin-starred chef Simon Rogan. The pioneer of farm-to-fork cuisine and head chef of the three Michelin-starred L'Enclume will present you with dishes inspired by seasonal, regional ingredients and innovative flavours.
After an evening of inspiring entertainment, you can retire to your suite for a restful night's sleep.

2ⁿᵈ day: Bishops Lydeard - Penzance - Fowey
Start the morning in a relaxed manner with a cosy brunch on board the Britannic Explorer. Your journey takes you to the picturesque south coast of Devon, where you reach the famous Riviera Line. This coastal route gives you spectacular views of the sea as you travel through charming villages such as Teignmouth and along the famous Dawlish Sea Wall. Passing Dartmoor National Park, you reach Plymouth and continue your journey to Cornwall. The final stretch to Penzance is no less impressive and offers magnificent views of the sea shimmering in the Cornish light as you glide through St Austell and Truro.
After lunch, you have a choice: disembark in St Erth to explore the artists' village of St Ives, or continue your journey to Penzance, where a guided tour of the Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens awaits you. In an old Victorian water tank, you will experience the fascinating installation ‘Aqua Oscura’ by James Turrell, which bathes the sky and treetops in magical light. Afterwards, enjoy an exclusive wine tasting with a view of the majestic St Michael's Mount.
Return to the train in the late afternoon and continue your journey to Fowey. Here the train stops overnight on a quiet stretch of track overlooking the river. Finally, enjoy another exquisite dinner in the dining car and an entertaining programme on board.

Spend the morning enjoying a selection of activities around the picturesque harbour town of Fowey and the historic surroundings of Lostwithiel, a region full of cultural treasures and innovative gardens. You can opt for a coastal walk, a private boat tour or other customised experiences. On your return to the train in Fowey, you will continue your relaxing journey to the charming market town of Bruton in Somerset. An exclusive visit to the world-famous contemporary art gallery, Hauser & Wirth, including a private tour, awaits you there. Afterwards, enjoy an aperitif and an exquisite dinner in this special setting. The train stops overnight on the tranquil East Somerset Railway.

Breakfast is served while the train departs for the return journey to London. You arrive at Victoria Station early in the morning, ready to continue your day refreshed and energised.
