Route to Propriano in the Gulf of Valinco, then Sartène, the ‘most Corsican of Corsican towns’ according to Prosper Mérimée. Lunch. Continuation to the ‘Lion of Roccapina’, an immense granite rock sculpted by water and wind. Arrival at Bonifacio. Afternoon at leisure or optional mini-cruise to discover the famous cliffs, caves and calanques. Evening meal and accommodation in Bonifacio or surrounding area.

In the morning, drive to Porto-Vecchio, its superb gulf and beaches, and the Ospédale forest. Lunch in Zonza. Continue on to the Col de Bavella, dominated by the famous Aiguilles mountain peaks, before returning to the coast to Solenzara, a pretty little seaside resort on the east coast. Then on to Corte, the island's historic capital, via Ghisonaccia and Aleria. Evening meal and accommodation in or near Corte.

Free time to explore the citadel of Corte, perched on its rocky islet, on the little train. You then travel via Ponte-Leccia to Bastia, with its rich Baroque heritage. Lunch and a tour of the town. Then on to Erbalunga, Santa Severa and finally Macinaggio at the tip of Cap Corse. Evening meal and accommodation in or near Macinaggio.

You will drive along Cap Corse, a succession of vertiginous peaks and eagle's nests battered by the winds, Genoese towers and fishing hamlets. Lunch in Patrimonio, which gives its name to the region's AOC wines. In the afternoon, drive through the Désert des Agriates to the superb Balagne region as far as Calvi for some free time. Evening meal and accommodation in or near Calvi.

Free time in Calvi for an individual visit of the town and its Genoese citadel. Departure for Porto via the coast and the splendid Fango valley. Lunch in Porto. Optional ‘Scandola-Girolata’ mini-cruise in the Gulf of Porto to admire this exceptional UNESCO World Heritage site from the sea. Evening meal and accommodation in Porto or surrounding area.

Cross the famous calanques of Piana, a mineral spectacle unique in the Mediterranean, then Cargèse and its 2 churches, Latin and Orthodox, before reaching the Gulf of Ajaccio. Lunch in the city centre, then a guided walking tour of Napoleon's birthplace followed by a panoramic tour by open-top bus along the gulf to the Sanguinaires islands. Evening meal with musical entertainment. Accommodation in Ajaccio.

Transfer to Ajaccio airport and return to Switzerland.
