Day 1: Paris
The legendary Venice Simplon‑Orient‑Express awaits you at the platform in Paris. Step on board, where a steward welcomes you and will be at your service throughout the journey. Once you have settled into your private compartment, it’s time to dress for dinner. A delicious four‑course menu, freshly prepared on board by the French chef, is served in one of the magnificent dining cars. Later, you may wish to linger a while in the bar car before retiring to your cabin, which has been transformed into a comfortable bedroom for the night. -

Day 2: Venice
In the morning, you wake to views of impressive Alpine scenery. Your steward serves breakfast in your cabin. At midday, enjoy a refined three‑course lunch in the dining car. In the afternoon, relax and take in the views of the Italian Dolomites as tea is served in your compartment. All too soon, it is time to prepare for arrival as the train crosses the Venetian lagoon and glides into Venezia Santa Lucia station.
