Porto-Vecchio
The name Porto-Vecchio evokes the sublime beaches of southern Corsica: Palombaggia, Santa Giulia, Pinarello, Rondinara, Capu Biancu... The famous holiday resort is home to the largest number of luxury hotels on the island. But Porto-Vecchio is also a historic town, founded by the Genoese in the 16th century, as evidenced by the citadel and its magnificent Genoese gateway.
