Porto-Vecchio

Beaches like in the Carribbean

The name Porto-Vecchio evokes the sublime beaches of southern Corsica: Palombaggia, Santa Giulia, Pinarello, Rondinara, Capu Biancu... The famous holiday resort is home to the largest number of luxury hotels on the island. But Porto-Vecchio is also a historic town, founded by the Genoese in the 16th century, as evidenced by the citadel and its magnificent Genoese gateway. It's an upper town where it's great to stroll around and shop for the latest summer fashions, or sit down at one of the many outdoor restaurants.
